A bit about me:
Hey, I'm Sam! A self-taught graphic designer based in East London. Originally from a small village just outside Leicestershire, I’ve spent the past four years in London with my partner and our dog, Mia.
I’m a well-rounded and driven designer with a knack for picking things up quickly. My skillset spans across sports design, print and packaging, editorial and digital, and branding. I’m always looking to expand my creative skill set by teaching myself new techniques and exploring different disciplines.
Currently, I work as a Graphic Designer within the City Football Group’s Partnerships team, where I support the commercial objectives of Manchester City FC and wider CFG properties.

When I'm not designing:
Outside of design, I’m usually travelling the country following my beloved Manchester City, running around the canals of East London, or listening to music recommendations from my Dad. Sundays are reserved for long walks with Mia, a coffee and a pastry.

My experience:
September 25 - Present
As a Graphic Designer at City Football Group, I play a key role within the City Football Marketing’s Partnerships team in London, creating compelling marketing materials to support our efforts in attracting and securing new commercial partners for Manchester City FC and other CFG properties. My work involves designing sales presentations and various promotional assets that help communicate the club’s value proposition to potential and existing partners worldwide, ultimately contributing to the growth and success of our sponsorship and partnership initiatives.
February 23 - September 25
At Jim & Tonic, I led the creative direction across all brand touchpoints, managing the visual identity and producing digital, print, and motion content for web, social, packaging, and campaigns. I played a key role in evolving the brand, including overseeing the 'Bottle for Life' rebrand, and regularly collaborate with marketing and wider teams to deliver cohesive e-commerce and white label campaigns. I made sure to stay sharp on industry trends, use data to inform creative strategy, and ensure every output reflects the brand’s voice and values.
July 2018 - December 2022
I began at Burleighs Gin as a Junior Designer and quickly progressed to Graphic Design & Marketing Manager, leading the brand’s creative direction and marketing strategy. I helped shape the visual identity, delivered high-impact campaigns, and led collaborations with brands like Leicester City, Leicester Tigers, and the Marilyn Monroe Estate. From bespoke product design to national advertising, I oversaw everything from concept to execution, including art direction, content creation, and campaign delivery, while fostering a collaborative, growth-driven team environment.
